New Brunswick International Student Program, Atlantic Education International (AEI)

NBISPAtlantic Education International (AEI) was created in 1997 by the province of New Brunswick to deliver real education opportunities to the world community through the province’s Department of Education. With a rich offering of one week, full semester and year-long programs, AEI has given over 1500 students from around the world a chance to sharpen their cultural skills.

As the country’s only bilingual province, New Brunswick has the highest school graduation rate in Canada and a world-class reputation for its dynamic and successful language learning programs. With one of the lowest costs of living in Canada and very competitive tuition fees, students receive an excellent quality of education without the heavy price tag. NB’s International Student Program attracts students from ages 12-18 from all over the world. New Brunswick high schools offer an impressive variety of programs, including International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, supported by a technologically advanced English school system. Visiting students immerse themselves in meaningful language and cultural experiences that reflect the diversity and open-mindedness of Canadian life.

Students select from a well-rounded spectrum of academic and real world learning experiences including the following: music and literary festivals, drama production, classroom surround sound, intramural sports, cultural fairs, French language exposure, science exhibitions, math competitions, interactive whiteboard technology, advanced placement courses, and personal enrichment workshops. Schools also offer complete guidance support for Canadian university and college placements, and much more.

High school students are placed with carefully selected host families who offer comfortable, safe, and supportive homes. Here is what students have to say about their experience at one of New Brunswick’s high schools.
