About Our Founders

Qualitas Strategies executive directors, Perryhan Moustafa and Susan Lee, lead a team of highly qualified and experienced education specialists in the areas of student development theory, transition pedagogy, counselling and motivation psychology, distance education and academic advising. Our backgrounds as both educators and international communications specialists allow us to respond effectively to changing markets. We promote a dynamic organizational structure that draws on the strengths of our team of experts. Our clients’ needs and perspectives drive the design as well as the outcomes of our educational solutions.

 

perryhan moustafa 330Perryhan Moustafa, head of public relations and project development, has worked in the international field since 1995 as an educator, trainer, communications strategist, and program manager. She has held positions in Egypt, Germany, and across Canada with universities, governments, and industry. She has been a faculty member at Carleton University, where she managed a number of student support programs and developed award-winning classroom models, which she has presented at international and national conferences. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, a Goethe Institute Certificate in teaching German-as-a-second language, a Certificate in Practical International Affairs Management, a Certificate in University Teaching, and has received an award for Outstanding Teaching Performance in 2010 as well as an award for Outstanding Team Recognition in 2008 from Carleton University.

susan lee 330Susan Lee heads our educational development program, academic counselling services, and second language training. She brings her strong management skills, her extensive teaching and student advising background, her expertise in faculty development, her experience in university admissions, and her experience in strategic planning. She has worked in Canada, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Her teaching and management experience includes: designing language training for graduate students in technical fields at the World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden; creating and assessing academic student support programs; and, serving as Associate Director of Carleton University’s Centre for Initiatives in Education, an innovative Centre which develops and implements programs that offer access to post-secondary education to students from non-traditional backgrounds. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature from Mount Allison University, a Master’s in Comparative Literary Studies and a Certificate in Teaching English as-a-second language from Carleton University.
